Spotlight On: Bobbi Hallsworth, BSL Signer

Bobbi is a British Sign Language communicator who recently achieved part 1 of the Level 6 Language course and will be resuming part 2 this year.

She has worked for Deaf Connexions for 12 years in varying job roles. Her grandmother is a British Sign Language user and Bobbi has been signing since she was a child.

One of her current roles is advocating for deaf people and she is proactive in making as many materials accessible for deaf people, and fighting for equal access to information given freely that hearing people readily have and will continue to have.

Bobbi will be signing at the Dandifest Opening Night Party and Glooptopia.

Deaf Connections was set up by Sue Moore in Norwich because she had 2 deaf children, it has since grown and offers communicators, interpreters, manages the deaf centre and all activities, provides courses to learn and advocates for deaf people around Norfolk.
